Matheus Souza
Actor, Director and Screenwriter
Matheus is a director, screenwriter, and actor who studied film at PUC-Rio.
His first screenplay, for the feature film "Apenas o Fim" (2008), won the Best Fiction award by Popular Jury and received an Honorable Mention at the Rio Film Festival in 2008. He was also the winner of the Audience Award at the São Paulo International Film Festival in the same year.
He has released other feature films as a director and screenwriter, such as "Eu Não Faço a Menor Ideia Do Que Eu Tô Fazendo Com a Minha Vida" (2012), "Tamo Junto" (2016), "Ana e Vitória" (2018), and "Me Sinto Bem Com Você" (2021, Amazon Prime). Additionally, he wrote the screenplay for the films "Eduardo e Mônica" (2020), "Tá Escrito" (2023), and "A Última Festa" (2023).
Matheus has provided consulting services for various film and series projects in recent years. He is the creator and showrunner of a new series in development and other projects.
In television, he wrote episodes for the program "Amor & Sexo" (2013, TV Globo) and directed and wrote the series "Vendemos Cadeiras" (2010, Multishow).
