Marton Olympio

Director and Screenwriter

 

Marton Olympio is a director and screenwriter. He began his career in TV drama in 2010 with the series "Musas" (Canal Brasil), which he wrote and directed. He was the scriptwriter for the series "Natália" (2010, TV Brasil), a critical success and nominated for best series at the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix. He was one of those selected in 2011 for the BoliviaLab International Screenwriting Lab.

In 2014 and 2015 he was one of the authors of the series "As Canalhas" (GNT) - voted Best TV Program by Veja magazine; scriptwriter for the series "Santo Forte" (2015, Moonshot/AXN); "Jungle Pilot" (Giros/Universal); final writer of the series "Prata da Casa" (2016, FOX), 2nd season of "Natália" (2018, TV Brasil); author of the last season of "Cidade dos Homens" (2018, Globo), and one of the writers of the series "Os Experientes" (2020, Globo); and was head of Room for the series "Marielle" (2020, Globo).

In cinema, he wrote the screenplay for the feature films "Sequestro Relâmpago" (2018, directed by Tatá Amaral) and "Alemão 2" (2020, directed by José Eduardo Belmonte).

Marton is the coordinator of Gullane's Lab Novos Talentos and for the past three years has been a tutor at the Flup Laboratory (Literary Festival of the Peripheries), which resulted in Paramount's Narrativas Negras screenwriting room.

He wrote and directed the series "A Dona da Banca" (2021, Cine Brasil TV); he is the creator and scriptwriter of the series "Anderson Spider Silva" (2023, Paramount+), and also of a series, still under wraps, in development at Disney+. As a director and screenwriter, he is currently writing a new feature film.
