Leandro Soares
Actor and Screenwriter
Leandro Soares is an actor and screenwriter who has worked in film, television and theater.
As an author, he was the scriptwriter for the well-known programs “Vai que Cola” (2013, Multishow), the remake of “A Escola do Professor Raimundo” (2015, Canal Viva) and “A Vila” (2017, Multishow), among others. Leandro acted in and wrote the series “Morando Sozinho” (2010, Multishow) and the theater play “A Importância de ser Perfeito” (2013, directed by Daniel Hertz).
He has received a number of awards for “Vai que Cola”, such as the 1st ABRA Script Award (2017) and the Extra Award for Best Humor Program, as well as the FITA Award for the translation and adaptation of the show “A Importância de Ser Perfeito”.
In cinema, he wrote the feature films “Carga Máxima” (2023), “Vai Que Cola - O Filme” (2015) and “Vai Que Cola 2 - O Começo” (2019); and co-wrote “Crô em Família” (2018). He also co-scripted the series “Cine Holliúdy” (Globo, directed by Halder Gomes and Renata Porto D'Ave), and was the scriptwriter for the special “Infratores”, for the program “Fantástico” (2018, Globo).
He is the creator and screenwriter of the Netflix comedy series “Nada Suspeitos” (2022) and is writing feature films that are still in development.
