Kênia is a singer, poet, psychologist, composer and daughter of the Martins Penna State Technical Theater School. Born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, she performed in the city in shows by the Centro de Estudos Teatrais (CET) - Grupo Divulgação, a university group from UFJF created in 1966 and directed by José Luiz Ribeiro.

His professional debut on the stage in Rio was in the award-winning play “Meninos e Meninas”, written and directed by Afra Gomes and Leandro Goulart. Other theater works include “Hell Center” (2021, directed by Rodrigo M Boecker, Luanna Barbosa and Janaina Medeiros), “Yabá, Mulheres Negras” (2020, directed by Luiza Loroza), “Anima” (2019, directed by Gunnar Borges) and the leading role in the children's musical “The Princess and the Frog” (2019, directed by Anderson Oliveira). In 2018 she presented “The Mickey Mouse Show”, produced by The Walt Disney Company Brasil, directed by Roberta Cid.

In the cinema, she appeared in the feature film “O Juízo” (written by Fernanda Torres and directed by Andrucha Waddington), and is currently in the cast of the feature film “Dispersão” (directed by Bruno Vianna).

She was part of the casts of the series “3%” (2016, Netflix), “Stella Models” (2016, Canal Brasil), written and directed by Samir Abujamra, and “Os Outros” (2023, Globoplay). She also took part in the soap operas “Fina Estampa” (2011) and “Amor Perfeito” (2023), both on Globo.
