Fabiana Winits
Director and Screenwriter
Fabiana Winits is a director and screenwriter who studied art history, direction, and screenplay to tell stories that could inspire significant changes in how people perceive the world around them and themselves.
She began her professional journey in the music industry, directing over 25 music videos, DVDs, and concerts for renowned Brazilian artists such as Lulu Santos, Preta Gil, Arlindo Cruz, and Paulinho Moska.
In 2016, she entered the field of advertising and created the campaign 'Curiosidade Salva' which draws attention to the issue of violence against women and earned her a Gold Lion award.
In 2017, she started working in television drama. Since then, she has been involved in various projects, including the series 'Onde Nascem os Fortes' and the soap opera 'Amor de Mãe' on TV Globo. In both projects, she served as assistant director under the artistic direction of José Luiz Villamarim.
In 2020, she teamed up with her brother Bernardo, who is an art director, to form a directing and screenwriting duo. Over the course of nearly two years, the Winitskowski Brothers, the name of their project, have directed and written music videos and are currently finalizing a short film and developing a series.
During the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, she created, produced, and directed the medium-length film 'Amores Pandêmicos,' and also produced and directed the upcoming series 'Dates, Likes e Ladrilhos.' In the second half of 2021, she directed and wrote the feature-length documentary 'Apolo,' produced by Biônica Filmes and Capuri. For this film, which is in the finalization process, she created a music video featuring a pregnant transgender couple, making it the world's first music video to feature such protagonists. Currently, Fabiana is developing content for series and feature-length films.
