Luiza Mariani is a Brazilian actress and producer. She studied Philosophy at PUC-Rio and made her theater debut in 1996, in Rio de Janeiro, alongside Domingos Oliveira, in the play "Confissões de Adolescente". Since then, she has built a solid career in film, theater, and television. On stage, her notable works include "O Perfeito Cozinheiro das Almas desse Mundo", by Oswald de Andrade, and "Os Melhores Anos de Nossas Vidas", also by Domingos Oliveira.
On television, she was part of the cast of TV Globo’s "Cobras e Lagartos" (2006) and GNT’s "Questão de Família" (2015).
Since her film debut in 2001 with the feature film "As Três Marias", by Aluízio Abranches — screened at the Berlin International Film Festival —, she has worked with directors such as José Eduardo Belmonte, Heitor Dhalia, and Ana Muylaert. Among her most recent works are "O Grande Circo Místico" (2018), by Carlos Diegues, screened at the Cannes Film Festival, and "Todas as Canções de Amor" (2019), by Joana Mariani, awarded at the São Paulo International Film Festival.
She produced her first feature film, "Cyclone", in co-production with VideoFilmes, Mar Filmes, and Muiraquitã Filmes. Directed by Flávia Castro, with a screenplay by Rita Piffer and collaboration from Luiza, the film was featured at several international festivals, including Shanghai and Munich, and won six awards at Fest Aruanda, including Best Film and Best Actress, in 2025.
Luiza is currently developing three feature film projects through her production company, including the biopic of singer Marina Lima, in which she will portray the singer.
