Guilherme Piva
Actor, Director, Screenwriter and Writer
Guilherme Piva is an actor, author and theater director with a long and successful career in television. The actor, who started at Rede Globo in 1994 with the miniseries Acidente em Antares, has more than twenty works on screen, including soap operas, series and miniseries.
He has appeared in major soap operas such as: Xica da Silva (1996), Esplendor (2000), Porto dos Milagres (2001), O Beijo do Vampiro (2002), Chocolate com Pimenta (2003), Bang Bang (2005), Pé na Jaca (2006), Paraíso Tropical (2007), Sete Pecados (2007), Insensato Coração (2011), Lado a Lado (2012) and Amor Perfeito (2023).
In cinema, she has acted in features such as Madame Satã (2002, directed by Karim Aïnouz), Não se Preocupe Nada Vai Dar Certo (2011, directed by Hugo Carvana) and Paraíso Aqui Vou Eu (2011, directed by Cavi Borges and Walter Daguerre). In 2019, he made the feature films Kardec, directed by Wagner de Assis and Sofá, by Bruno Safadi.
He was part of the cast of Prime Video's series O Negociador (2023), as well as Globo's series Sob Nova Direção (2005), A Grande Famlília (2005) and Brava Gente (2002), among others.
In theater, Piva directed the acclaimed play The Woman Who Wrote the Bible, considered one of the 10 best plays of 2007 by the O Globo newspaper and winner of the Brazil Quality Award for Best Play.
He then directed the shows O Pintor (2010), Como É Cruel Viver Assim (2013), Foi Você Quem Pediu pra eu Contar a Minha História (2013), Heisenberg - A Teoria da Incerteza (2018) and Fim de Caso (2019).
He has also directed shows and awards, such as three editions of the Rio without Prejudice Award (2013-15) and the artistic direction of Emanuelle Araújo's show O Problema é a Velocidade (2017).
