Clara Anastácia, a screenwriter, director, and writer, is the creator of the genre “Decolonial Melodrama”. “Escasso”, her first short film, was selected by Film at Lincoln Center at MoMA (USA) for the “New Directors/New Films 2023” showcase and has garnered significant awards, including the Redentor Award for Best Short Film at Festival do Rio (2022), three awards at the Brasília Film Festival (2022), the Best Short Film award from Canal Brasil, and three awards at FRAPA (Best Screenplay, Character, and Dialogue) in 2023.
An experienced professional in content for streaming and TV, she has worked with platforms such as Netflix Brasil, Star+, HBO Max, Globoplay, and TV Globo. Among her most recent work, she served as a screenwriter for the telenovela “Dona Beja” (HBO Max).
