Catharina Caiado is a Brazilian actress and performer from Lisbon. She was born on November 15, 1988. She has a degree in theater from CAL and dance from Angel Vianna, as well as a master's degree in Performing Arts from UFRJ, where she researches the body and the gesture of turning. She is a member of Nómada, a theater collective.
She is an actress in the film ''The Kitchen'' (2022) directed by Johnny Massaro, which premiered at the Rio Film Festival and the São Paulo International Film Festival. She also acted in ''Dependências'' (2023), Luisa Arraes' first feature, which won the award for Best Short Film at the 2023 Rio Film Festival. She also made the film "Divinas" (2018, Vitória Mello Franco) for the British Film Institute.
In theater, with her company Nómada, she acted in ''A Cozinha'' (2017) and ''A Garagem'' (2018) and did a character study residency at the Royal Shakespeare Company in London. She has been directed by Georgette Fadel, Thierry Tremouroux, Pedro Kosovski, Gunnar Borges, Johnny Massaro, Márcio Abreu and Tino Sehgal.
She is currently recording the soap opera "Dona Beja" for HBO and is part of the cast of the feature "Precisamos falar sobre nossos filhos" (We need to talk about our children) by Pedro Waddington and Rebeca Diniz, produced by Conspiração Filmes - both to be released.
