Andre Mifano

Chef and Presenter

Paulista and with 27 years of career, Chef Andre Mifano already has strong recognition in the gastronomy scene.

In 2024, he served as a judge on the tenth season of the show “Bake Off Brasil: Mão na Massa”, a co-production between SBT and HBO Max.

He hosted the program “Lugares Desconhecidos” (2020, CNN Brasil); was a mentor on the reality show “The Taste Brasil” (2015–2019, GNT); hosted and judged “Sabor em Jogo” (2018, GNT); and hosted the show “Taste It” (2011, Glitz).

In 2008, the chef opened his Italian restaurant, Vito, which earned him the following year the “Breakthrough Chef” award from Veja Comer & Beber magazine. After seven years, André closed the restaurant and, a year later, opened his author-driven restaurant, the acclaimed Lilu, which ended its operations in October 2020. In the year in between, he dedicated himself to designing a new project while continuing as the host of Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” on CNN.

In November 2021, the restaurant Donna was born—an Italian spot in the Jardins neighborhood—where André returned to the cuisine that made his name in São Paulo. Described by him as Italo-Paulista, Donna’s cooking revisits a few classics but takes them a step further, bringing in the chef’s personal repertoire built over 27 years in the profession. André’s passion for cured meats—and especially pork—has always been a hallmark of his menus, from Vito to the current Donna. Another signature of the São Paulo chef is his ongoing research into the ingredients he wants to feature, his close relationships with small producers, and the sustainability behind the products chosen for his recipes.
