Rafael Saraiva is an actor and comedian. He currently is part of the cast of “Porta dos Fundos”, which he joined at 22, and appears in the stage production “O dinossauro de plástico”, his first monologue, which premiered in Rio de Janeiro in 2025 and which he plans to bring to São Paulo soon. In the play, he delivers a sensitive performance, different from what audiences are used to seeing from him: humorous, but grounded in a deep and reflective text.
At Porta dos Fundos, he released an original project called “Paulinho, o Virgem”, shot on a cellphone with friends in 2025. Also at Porta, he co-hosts, alongside Caito Mainier, one of the entertainment hub’s most successful shows—so successful it even earned a perfect 10 rating—called Vrau Cast, in which the duo satirizes podcasts.
In cinema, he has appeared in films such as “Ciclo”, by Ian SBF; “Chico Bento e Goiabeira Maraviosa”, as Seu Leocádio, Zé Lelé’s father—named Best Children’s Feature Film at the Grande Otelo Awards—and “O Diário de Pilar na Amazônia”, set to premiere in January 2026, in which he plays one of the villains alongside Marcelo Adnet, Babu, and Emilio Dantas. He is currently filming other feature projects, still without a release date.
A graduate of Teatro Tablado, which he entered at age 11, the actor has numerous stage productions on his résumé and has won awards such as APTR and CBTIJ, and, in 2015, first place at the “Kids on Stage” Festival at the European Center for the Arts – Hellerau (Germany). Theater is his home; even while working in film, TV, or online, he has remained involved in stage productions throughout his career.
In streaming and TV, in addition to appearing in several comedy programs such as “Portugal Show” and “Volte Sempre”, as well as the series “Encantados” and “Choque de Cultura”, Rafael acted in the series “A Vida Pela Frente” and in the telenovela “No Rancho Fundo” (2024), where he played the poet Guilherme Tell.
