Maurício Sasí

Maurício Sasí has been active in São Paulo’s theater scene since 2015, when he began attending theater workshops through the “Mais Educação” project at E.E. Carlos Gomes, located in São Miguel Paulista.

The following year, he joined the company Filosofia de Coxia. The production they developed, “Anjo Negro” by Nelson Rodrigues, earned 23 collective awards at student theater festivals across São Paulo (coast and countryside) and in Belo Horizonte (MG). Individually, he received the “Breakthrough Actor” award at the Pindamonhangaba festival (2016).

In 2017, he participated in the production “Mestre Vitalino, Artesão de Caruaru” as technical support. In 2018, he returned to Cia. Filosofia de Coxia, working as an actor, lighting technician, and workshop facilitator. In 2019, the company was selected in the Iniciativas Culturais public call with the project “Peripatéticos - Ação no movimento”, aimed at developing the production “Oedipus Rex”.

He offered free workshops at the company’s space for different age groups and also in state schools in the region for eight months. That same year, the company toured Buenos Aires at the invitation of the VQV festival to take part in its program.

In 2021, he earned a technical degree in theater from Senac Lapa Scipião, and in 2022 he began working in audiovisual projects, starring in the film “Escola de Quebrada” (Paramount+) and playing a supporting role in the series “A História Delas” (Star+). He is currently studying acting at SP Escola de Teatro.
