Laura is the youngest artist ever to win a Bibi Ferreira Award in the Best Actress category. An actress, singer, voice actress, host, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter, she was born in California but moved to Brazil when she was just 11 months old.
Recently, she portrayed Deena Jones in the musical "Dreamgirls" and starred in "Meninas Malvadas, o Musical", becoming the first Black performer in the world to play Cady Heron. She also played Julinha, one of the leading characters in "Tudo por um Pop Star 2", the sequel to one of Brazil's highest-grossing teen films.
She is the Brazilian voice of Ariel in Disney's live-action film "A Pequena Sereia" and went on a Disney-sponsored singing tour in 2024, performing in Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, and North Dakota. She also hosted the podcast "Cavecast", broadcast on the YouTube channel "TVZYN", which has over 6 million subscribers.
She was part of the leading trio in HBO Max's "Use Sua Voz" and played Camila in the film "Escola de Quebrada", produced by KondZilla and nominated for a 2024 Emmy Award, among other major productions.
As a voice actress, she has voiced prominent characters such as Queen Charlotte in Netflix's spin-off series of the same name; Mae and Osha in "The Acolyte", a series set in the "Star Wars" universe; and Ruby Sunday in the new "Doctor Who" series, among others. She is also the original voice of Tábata, a character from Mauricio de Sousa's universe.
She was a member of the musical trio BFF Girls, which has several successful projects, including a DVD, a film, a series, and millions of YouTube subscribers. She is currently performing in "Sete Mulheres e um Mistério" at 033 Rooftop, where she plays Catarina.
Her passion for the arts began at a very young age. By the age of five, Laura already loved singing and soon began taking piano lessons. Since then, in her own words, "I never wanted to be anything other than an artist!"
Her career, now spanning 13 years, began in theater, with notable musicals such as "Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum", in which she played Biba. She also competed in "The Voice Kids" in 2017, a TV Globo reality competition, as a member of Ivete Sangalo's team.
