Helen Beltrame-Linné
Screenwriter
Helen Beltrame-Linné is a screenwriter. Graduated in Law (USP) and Cinema from the Sorbonne (Paris), she has worked as a film critic for Folha de S.Paulo, was an editor at the Rio Film Festival and a contributor to the São Paulo International Film Festival. In 2014, she took over as director of the Bergman Center Foundation and the Bergman Week Festival, and moved to the island of Fårö, Sweden. In 2018 she returned to Brazil to become deputy editor of Folha de S.Paulo, where she is a columnist and currently works as a screenwriter and script consultant, focusing on fiction series and feature films.
She has just finished the adapted screenplay of Leonardo Padura's novel "The Man Who Loved Dogs", a Spanish-US co-production to be directed by José Padilha. He recently consulted on the scripts for the project "5X Comedy" (2021), a series by Monique Gardenberg co-produced by Viacom Studios and Amazon Brasil. She is Script Editor at Torino Film Lab (with a Paradiso Scholarship in 2020) and Fiction Mentor at Full Circle Lab, two programs co-funded by Creative Media, the European audiovisual agency. She is currently writing the feature film Suite Tokyo, based on the book by writer Giovana Madalosso, and the biopic Marta, about the life of the Brazilian national soccer team player.
