Célio Porto
Screenwriter
Célio Porto began working as a screenwriter in 2007. He worked for TV Globo between 2009 and 2018, where he wrote "Louco por Elas" (2012) and "Isso a Globo não mostra" (2016).
In cinema, he wrote "Sorry for the Disorder" (2016, directed by Tomas Portella), "Carlinhos and Carlão" (2019, directed by Pedro Amorim), "My Sister and I" (2023, directed by Susana Garcia) and "Auto da Boa Mentira" (2021, directed by José Eduardo Belmonte) - winner of the Popular Jury Prize at the Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix.
He is Head Writer of the second season of "5X Comédia" (Prime Video), and Co-creator and Headwriter of "Eleita" (2022, Prime Video).
In theater, he was the author of the play "Tio" (2019), directed by Débora Lamm. Célio has worked as an actor twice: in the short films "Dois menos dois" (Two minus two), in which he was also co-director; and "Laços" (Ties), in which he was also producer and which was shown at the 2008 Sundance festival and won the award for best short film in Youtube's Project: Direct competition.
He worked on the series "O Fantástico Mundo de Gregório" (Multishow), considered Best Humor Series in 2012 by the newspaper O Globo. He is currently working on other projects, which are still under wraps.
